Natural lighting also plays a role when designing naturally ventilated buildings since daylighting can significantly reduce artificial lighting requirements resulting in reduced energy bills. By strategically positioning windows across different orientations based on solar exposure patterns throughout the day help optimize light distribution inside a room.
