One advantage of using renewable energies is their ability to decrease carbon emissions significantly compared to burning fossil fuels like coal and oil for power generation which contribute largely towards global warming effects caused by greenhouse gas emissions.

Another benefit is their low operating costs; once established, many renewable technologies operate at zero fuel costs since they rely solely on natural resources making them more affordable over time than traditional fossil fuel-powered systems.
